The Digital Dividend - The role of Managed Services in a Digital World
The role of IT and the way companies are buying it is changing creating threats and opportunities for existing MSPs and new market entrants alike. Our Managed Services and Hosting Summit 2018 will focus on how the market is changing and what it will take for MSPs to succeed in this brave new digital world.
The role of IT within modern businesses is changing from using technology to automate existing processes and functions to using it as a force to accelerate and improve business outcomes. This rise in strategic importance is permeating all facets of businesses and creating new opportunities for MSPs. Organisations that understand these changing customer requirements and adjust their sales and marketing engagement models to address them are set to reap considerable rewards.
Morning: The role of managed services in a digital world - This session will focus on how Managed Service offerings need to evolve in the digital era and how to build a strong and sustainable MSP practice. Our speakers and panellists will outline how MSP business models need to change and the implications this will have on sales, personnel and pricing strategies.
It will also look at the increasing impact of the Cloud within Enterprises and SMBs, examine the channel opportunities resulting from the emergence of IoT and look at the impact these trends are having on Mergers & Acquisitions, the lessons to be learned and how to build value in an MSP practice while generating it for your customers
Afternoon: Managed services – securing the future - This session will focus on the opportunities for MSPs in helping organisations secure their own and customers’ digital information against a background of mounting international fraud and cyber-attacks. Speakers and panellists will share their knowledge and insight into the threats that organisations now face and what they can expect as digitalisation spreads throughout all facets of business operations.
In particular we will focus on how MSPs can benefit from the increasing importance of security by becoming the primary support partner for their customers in mitigating security threats and how to leverage the increasing demand for effective security solutions to safeguard their customers while building more value in their businesses.

Previous Year's Testimonials
Please find below a selection of testimonials from our event in 2017 from sponsors
“This is my third year at this event, and it is something that Autotask takes seriously. At this event we find good quality, strong conversations, with good quality people. For us personally it is about meeting with Autotask customers, including those who may not be customers yet – those we don’t know yet and who we are meeting for the first time.” We find [the event offers] very rich content from the likes of Gartner and the viewpoints of actual MSPs, plus a very good delegate list.”- Sam Wallis, Senior Account manager at Autotask
“The value of this event is huge; it is actually two-fold – one of which is meeting new MSPs and partners that come into the business. But it is just as valuable as a great way to connect with our existing partnerbase where we may not see a lot of them apart from one or two events a year. It is always good to see them, to talk about new products and services we are offering. The sessions are great – really informative - but the breaks and networking are really useful for us as well.”
- Chris Tate, Datto Business Development Director, EMEA
“It is always a great event…. so excited to be here again. Education of partners is something we take really seriously – not just on technology but also on the business side of things.” Value of this event: “I love these types of event – it gets everyone in one place; spending time on their business rather than in their business. It gives them a great opportunity to meet vendors, maybe find out what new technologies are coming out, but also that peer-to-peer networking time. I’m just standing there listening to peoples' conversations; listening to the questions they are asking. I can see that a lot of the MSPs can see the value in it as they are trying to transform, whether it is with security services, or print services or whatever, it is a great opportunity to get together with their peers.”- Nadia Karatsoreos, SolarWinds MSP Channel Development and Enablement
